Made a tool for stray thoughts (anti second brain)

It's a digital board with limited space, made for my fleeting thoughts. Minimal grouping functionality to parse the mess without forcing structure. When the board gets full, I'm forced to clear it or copy it over to productionize.

Case studies

Like processes and frameworks, case studies have become something we follow by rote and we've lost sight of why they exist in the first place.

The purpose isn't to follow a structure. Put simply, it's to show your work and how you work: your craft, your thinking, and your ability to solve problems.

Ways to become familiar with new user personas (beyond interviews)

Acquiring intuition around a persona.

  1. Dig into online communities or forums where your users hang out: Reddit, Discord, niche Slack groups, Substack newsletters.

  2. Explore product reviews

  3. Leverage in-house expertise: partner with Sales, Customer Success, or Support. Ask for call recordings, tickets, or sit on live conversations.

  4. If B2B, look at job descriptions to understand responsibilities and pain points.

  5. Tap your network: friends of friends, alumni, social media friends.
